This article keeps track of the firmware release notes for the PentaBLE module. PentaBLE is the second generation of the Bluetooth Low Energy products for the Smartspot Platform and successor of BLE2Spot module. It has up to five radios which are used to receive and process BLE advertisements, connect up to 8 BLE Micro-Spot Relays or handheld scanners simultaneously and read and configure Smart Items.
Important to know
PentaBLE module is part of the Smart BLE Software Suite which consist of a variety of products who share the same core functionality. Therefore it's possible for the version number to change without any actual changes to this particular device.

- Added a filter which can be used to reject BLE advertisements with a RSSI below a certain threshold level. At default the threshold is disabled. Users could enable this filter by changing the Smartspot bt_threshold configuration setting.
