How to change Smartspot settings

Device Management in the Brain

Device Management is the default landing page of the Brain. If however, you are not in the Device Management you can easily get there via the Menu located at the top of your screen by selecting "Spots".

In Device Management, all Smartspots that are or have been connected with the server will be displayed.

Configuring your Smartspot

To change settings for a particular Smartspot you can search for it using the filters at top of your screen. For example, use the Serial number filter to find your Smartspot based it's serial number. This number can be found on the Smartspot device.

1. Filter to find a particular Smartspot based on serial number.
2. Button to enter the configuration for that specific Smartspot.

Smartspot configuration explained

On the Configuration page of the Smartspot you will find a couple of available settings.
You can hover over every individual setting to get a short help description on the right side of the page.

In the example below, the "Antenna power (dBm)" setting has been activated. The help description for this setting is showed on the right side.

Once the desired setting has been adjusted you can either hit the enter key on your keyboard or click on the apply button on the bottom of the configuration page as shown in the following image.

Configuration Profiles

The configuration page of the Smartspot Focus looks slightly different to the other Smartspot types. Because of the complexity of the Smartspot Focus there are predefined profiles available as shown in the image below.

Hovering over the "Set a profile" setting will display an explanation for each profile that is available.

To change the profile follow the following steps:

1. Select the desired profile by clicking on the drop-down box.
2. Click on "Set" to select the chosen profile.
3. Click on "Apply" to confirm all changes and send the configuration to the Smartspot.

If desired, you can change the more advanced settings by clicking on the arrow-down button.
