How to Reset the i4 Reader to Factory Defaults

This article describes the factory reset procedures of the i4 Reader.

Software factory reset

1. Enable the web-interface of the i4 Reader.
2. Press the button Reset under Factory Reset in the web interface.
3. After the device reboots, enable the web interface again.
4. Set the Device Role to Telnet/TCP Server in the web interface.

Hardware Factory Reset

1. Power off the i4 Reader.
2. Push the internal button by putting a paper clip or similar object in the pinhole below the DC connector.
3. Power on the i4 Reader while keeping the internal button pushed. Release after the three-tone boot sound.
4. Enable the web-interface of the i4 Reader.
5. Set the Device Role to Telnet/TCP Server in the web interface.
